Booyah everyone
Did my first ever Spartan race this past weekend. 5km sprint at Blue Mountain, ON. No training for running, just BJJ for cardio and my gym routine, which admittedly has been quite less due to a prolonged tennis elbow injury.
I was worried I wouldn't complete it or my elbow wouldn't hold up but I did fantastic! Placed top 10% of the entire event.
Buuuut I tore my hands all to hell, I got to the rope climb, did it super fast and on the way down my hand slid and I suffered 2nd/3rd degree rope burns
Have any of you done anything like this before? It's quite out of my zone but I'm glad I did it and looking forward to more next year.
