Naxen (chemical name Naproxen) is an anti-inflammatory not actually a steroid. The reason it is in this section is because it is a popular drug to be used to relieve pain and swelling from over training a specific body part, especially tendonitis or other injuries. The use of an anti-inflammatory, such as naxen, will speed up recovery time and relieve pain. Naxen was originally used to treat arthritis with dosages starting around 500 mg split up throughout the day and always taken with a meal. Dosages can be gradually increased until the pain is relieved. A common dose would be 600 mg twice a day. Naxen is available in tablets, as a topical cream, and as an injectable. The best place to inject naxen is in the gluteus maximus because it requires a deep intramuscular injection. Naxen does have some side effects which include: heartburn, constipation, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, depression, rashes on your skin, heart attack, muscle weakness, and fever. Naxen is a little on the high side when it comes to price. For a package of 45x20 mg tablets which would last about

10 days at 600-mg/2x day, it is about $12.00. On the black market this would probably be around $15 - $18.
