I've been racking my brain how to contribute to the board... I've got some great recipes up my sleeve and this one is by far my favourite. I grill year round, I think every true Canadian does!

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium onion, cubed small
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced or crushed in a press
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tsp brown sugar (sugar is needed in this recipe to help tenderize the meat)
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Flank steak, I buy these at Costco as the quality is great and you usually get two to a package.

Combine first six ingredients to make your marinade. You can then combine the marinade with the flank steaks in a large zip lock bag or marinating container. Allow the steaks to marinate overnight in the fridge and be sure to turn or flip the bag over every so often so all parts get flavoured equally. The next day discard the marinade and grill to your liking. Slice the steak in thin slices against the grain. All I can say is wow, I could eat most of it in one sitting! Let me know what you guys think. Cheers!

flank is underrated. i started eating it again but, you really gotta cook it medium or under otherwise, it gets too flippin' tough.

Sounds delicious I’ll have to try this, chicken and rice is getting tiresome.

Haha dude is hardcore! Think I’ll stop complaining and keep following Seth Feroce !

What's so funny to me about this is all he eats is fish and rice cakes, which can't be good, but he has to stop and think about what he has at each meal!

Clearly deficient in a brain nutrient or two...

Well I can tell you this is a damn fine tasting flank! I do basically this exact recipe with those Costco flanks. Done both on the BBQ or the air frier. Damn tasty.
