I've been racking my brain how to contribute to the board... I've got some great recipes up my sleeve and this one is by far my favourite. I grill year round, I think every true Canadian does!
Ingredients:
Combine first six ingredients to make your marinade. You can then combine the marinade with the flank steaks in a large zip lock bag or marinating container. Allow the steaks to marinate overnight in the fridge and be sure to turn or flip the bag over every so often so all parts get flavoured equally. The next day discard the marinade and grill to your liking. Slice the steak in thin slices against the grain. All I can say is wow, I could eat most of it in one sitting! Let me know what you guys think. Cheers!
Ingredients:
- 1 medium onion, cubed small
- 3 garlic cloves, minced or crushed in a press
- 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 2 tsp brown sugar (sugar is needed in this recipe to help tenderize the meat)
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- Flank steak, I buy these at Costco as the quality is great and you usually get two to a package.
