  1. Kpin’s BT log. This log will be made while using Bodytech gear only. This log will be primarily an experiment. This will consist of the same diet and training I’ve always done, only difference will be the gear used. Main objective: get huge. It will be fun to see the progress, stay tuned. I have just now done my first injection of all bt gear. This is what I injected and what my cycle will look like. 500mg test e (1mlx2 perweek) 900mg eq (1.5mlx2 perweek) 300mg deca (.5mlx2 perweek) 50mg dbol ed 25mg accutane ed 1mg adex eod Keep in mind I’m just recovering and coming back from a long time off of gear and training. Also keep in mind the gear will change through out the log, but the lab will never changed. I will be using bt and bt only for the entire duration. My nutrition will start at 4 meals per day and one shake post workout. With roughly and 80/80/20 split with slightly a bit more carbs. This will be upped by one meal every time I plateau or feel as though I’ll plateau soon. Sleep is always 8+ hours per night, and my stress levels are low at the moment. Training is fairly instinctive but I have a certain day for every muscle group. I usually take one day off and repeat my split that goes like this: Back Chest Legs Delts Arms Sometimes I’ll throw bis on the end of back day and tris on the end of chest day. As for progress pics, which makes a log that much better of course, I will try and upload ones taken in the same spot every time. I have a few places with crappy lighting in my place but it will have to do. These will really show my progress! Update #1 No pump posing, 215lbs. D5A7837A-0C3B-45CB-A962-F02E9844ABB4.MOV

  3. In 1986, scientists discovered that nitric oxide (NO) was a potent vasodilator and could improve circulation, heart health, and anything else that relied on optimal blood flow. Researchers at Pfizer, with big, hand-rubbing plans, began experimenting with drugs called PDE-5 inhibitors that enhance and perpetuate NO's blood-vessel dilating effects. Their goal, at the time, was to find a treatment for angina. First up was a drug called sildenafil citrate, but drug trials showed that it was only modestly effective in treating the condition. However, some of the researchers refused to say die and started looking at the notes detailing the drug's side effects. Holy moly, there it was: A lot of the test subjects confessed to being visited by the erection fairy a lot more often after taking the drug. This observation caused Pfizer scientists to no doubt feel a little stirring in their own pants as they contemplated the financial prospects of such a drug. They rapidly switched gears and began pilot studies of sildenafil citrate's effects on erectile dysfunction. It was, of course, a success and in 1996 they submitted a patent for the new drug, which they named Viagra. A couple of years later, Viagra was approved by the FDA. Few drugs have had such a social impact on society. Old men, or even not-so-old men, could suddenly indulge in a part of life they thought was lost to them. But perhaps unexpectedly, much younger men also glommed onto the drug, as they also did with its chemical cousins Cialis and Levitra, which would arrive later. They covet the drugs because they serve as a hedge against performance anxiety and reduce downtime between sexual episodes, but it turns out there are other reasons men, both young and old, might use these drugs and they're not only health related, but bodybuilding related, too. In fact, there may be sufficient evidence to support the idea of taking these drugs every day, like vitamins or any other health-promoting supplement. What Erectile Dysfunction Drugs Do For Bodybuilders PDE-5 Inhibitors Increase the "Pump" The most elemental and basic effect of Viagra and its cousins is increased blood flow, not only to the heart and penis, but to all body parts, including muscles. More blood flow means a better pump from resistance exercise and subsequently, increased nutrient flow to muscles, which is a good thing. PDE-5 Inhibitors Decrease Estrogen Levels A 2005 study found that 10 mg. and 20 mg. doses of Cialis, taken an average of 10 times a month, significantly reduced estradiol levels, but only in men who didn't have too much body fat (those with a BMI of less than 27) (1). Men with more body fat have higher levels of aromatase and convert testosterone to estradiol with impunity, regardless of how much Cialis they pop. PDE-5 Inhibitors Increase Testosterone Levels A study of Viagra's effects on 140 low-testosterone men between the ages of 40 and 70 found that the drug boosted testosterone levels by about 100 clicks (2). While some of this rise in male hormone might be, as the study cited above implied, because some testosterone resisted being converted into estrogen, some of it was also apparently from increased testosterone production by the testes. PDE-5 Inhibitors Increase Insulin Sensitivity Viagra was shown to reduce diabetes-induced oxidative stress and improve insulin sensitivity. This experiment, unlike the others, was conducted on rats, but there's a decent chance it would work similarly in humans. What Erectile Dysfunction Drugs Do For General Health Cialis has been shown to quash symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy, like frequent urination. There's also some evidence that PDE-5 drugs improve prostate health in general. Viagra has been shown to treat abnormally high blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries (known as pulmonary hypertension). Despite early studies that didn't show much of an effect, Viagra and the other PDE-5 drugs have lately been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of angina, along with high blood pressure and other cardiovascular conditions. How To Use This Info Sporadic use of these drugs (less than 8 to 10 times a month) might not confer any long-lasting health effects. However, Cialis is currently approved for once-daily use, and it's reasonable to think that patients, young or old, who have such a prescription and are using it every day, are reaping some, if not all, of the above benefits. However, if further research supports or adds to the list of positive research on these drugs, we might eventually get to the point where docs almost universally recommend the daily use of the drugs, just as they do with baby aspirin.

  4. Great article I always go for regular deep tissue it really helps a lot with training and preventing injuries. Few things feel better than a whole-body massage. Its proponents claim that it can relax anti invigorate you, remove metabolic waste and toxins, stimulate recovery and promote better athletic performance. And that's the short list! But to make things more complicated, different massage techniques have various effects. Three common massage techniques include effleurage, a stroking technique in which the heels and palms of the hands glide over the part to he massaged; petrissage, or holding the affected tissue between the thumb and forefinger while you roll, lift and twist it; and tapotement, which involves cupping or percussive-type action. Deep transverse friction massage involves massaging the site of a lesion (where scar tissue may be forming, for example) anti facilitates normal collagen alignment in tendons and ligaments. Certainly, massage makes you feel good, but what are some of its physiological effects? Proponents of massage are challenged to provide specific mechanisms for the purported benefits, but does science support the multitude of claims made by massage therapists LACTIC-ACID REMOVAL Lactic acid is one of the most misunderstood chemicals in our bodies. It's accused of being a metabolic poison that needs to he eliminated, and is blamed for the soreness we feel the day or two after intense exercise. (Actually, the soreness is caused by tearing of myofibrils) Proponents of massage often claim that it helps rid the muscles of lactic acid. In a study conducted at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, 22 men ran to exhaustion, then either 1) recovered passively in a supine position, 2) rode a bike at a very low intensity or 3) had their legs massaged by a certified massage therapist. Researchers drew blood from the test subjects and determined their lactate (lactic acid) levels at three, five, nine, 15 and 20 minutes postexercise. Low-intensity cycling was found to be best for lowering blood lactate levels, and no difference existed between blood levels of subjects who recovered passively and had massage. This study doesn't suggest that massage is useless for athletes, but does show that its effects may have little to do with the removal of lactic acid. This makes sense if lactic acid doesn't cause muscle soreness. DECREASING MUSCLE SORENESS We all get sort painful muscles, and a deep, thorough massage may be your therapy of choice. But does it really diminish pain, or is it all in our heads? In a study from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, 40 untrained female subjects performed negatives on biceps curls until they fatigued. In untrained subjects, this will definitely cause delayed-onset muscle soreness! Then they were treated" in one of three ways: upper-body exercise (arm cycling), massage or electrical stimulation immediately after exercise and 24 hours later. A control group wasn't treated. Researchers found that each of the four groups rated their soreness the same! Neither massage nor exercise decreased muscle soreness felt one day later. In another study, a combination of warm-up, stretching and massage was found to decrease the soreness after eccentric exercise. Yet the effects are hard to predict and often inconsistent. So does massage help or not? Well, with regard to a "measurable" difference in soreness, seemingly no. IMPROVING BLOOD FLOW The data are equivocal on this one. A recently published study from Laurier University in Canada found that massage had no effect on limb blood flow. According to Peter M. Tiidus, PhD, "Light quadriceps contractions were far more effective in improving blood flow than manual massage itself." WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN? A dearth of science is often used to support a multitude of claims through-out the fitness and health-related fields. Massage is no different. Little scientific evidence shows that massage significantly enhances the recovery process. On the other hand, massage may promote the proliferation of fibroblasts (cells involved in laying down collagen an important component of connective tissue). Massage might enhance the healing process by recruiting these cells, but the evidence is inconclusive at this point. Nonetheless, massage could be an important component of any athlete's total training package. You're thinking, there is no science to back it up. Well, it doesn't seem to have much physiological effect, but hey, if massage makes you feel better, that may be reason enough to use it as a therapeutic modality. As far as its effect on muscle goes, wait a decade or so science may have yindicated it by then.
