  1. OK!

So now I'm starting to plan my offseason cycle, and A LOT of people won't agree with what I'm doing nor will they understand (they also might think I'm stupid)... hear me out! So I like to experiment with everything I do - training, supplementation, diet, etc... I like to try unconventional methods, or stuff that you can't find much information about and see what happens. It's what I've always done and sometimes it works (like the diet I used for my past show vs the show prior with "higher" DNP use) and other times not so much.

So something I've wanted to try for a couple years now and just never got around to is the blitz cycle proposed by L. Rea

Without going too in-depth (you can probably find his book somewhere on the internet like I have) the point of this cycle is to super saturate yourself for a small period with one compound then change to another, mostly androgenic to anabolic, etc... Never create stability and periods of diminishing returns. Think hit it hard and fast... the whole cycle is basically a front load.

Do I have massive expectations? lol no. It might be side effect city, it might be mediocre... who knows! The only thing I think I'll have a big problem with will be the frequency, as the volume is high and they'll be done every day... so we'll see how that goes.

Probably looking to start within a week to two.

Congrats on the show and overcoming your injury.

I dealt with a very similar thing back in November 2017, but unlike you I knew right away it was a nerve issue due my left arm being pins and needles for a couple weeks.  Couldn't workout upper body for about 8 weeks, then when I started back, I could barely press a 20lb dumbbell with my left arm.  It's like I never lifted before. Left side chest, and tricep atrophied like crazy.   I continued with the 20s and slowly built my strength back up.... Took months and it's still not 100%.  After a few months, finally had an MRI and it confirmed herniated C4 and C7 disc.

I still don't fully feel my left tricep contract and left arm is about .5 inch smaller, but overall can't complain.  Just glad I'm still able to lift.   You are looking fantastic though and it doesn't look like it affected you too much.

Thanks brother, I'm not going to lie it left me pretty distraught.

Had to completely learn to train differently - and just push through. The biggest thing that was said to me that screwed me up was when the neurologist said, the muscle probably won't come back, that messed me up pretty good. But hey, here I am now... still not perfect contractions on my left side, still slightly weaker - but I do what I can, and trying to even it out.

Lot of talk on PM about this and confirmed by a few sources/sponsors

"There is new law in China, steroids will be banned 2020 and all factories will be closed according to the new law.

If all factories closed, we will have no source to get raws. "

This would cause a major disruption and kill off many ugl. Stay tuned..

I honestly doubt it will change much, I see higher prices for a while potentially - but I expect business will go back to normal.

If not, I'm sure other countries will pick up the slack

    Update:

So, Im thinking the below pics should be the new baseline as this will be the crappy mirror and lighting I will be using for the next few months.

Energy has been consistent although I do find that by the time 11pm hits, I can barely stay awake.

    November 23, 2019

    Weight: 105.3kg / 232lbs (taken 6am)

    Photos: morning, taken 7am-ish.

I will try to keep the photo and weight measurement time the same across the next few months. Anyway, Im a fat ass, so I wont be running anything special outside of my fertility protocol for the next few months until my fat levels get to a point that it is warranted.

That said, the eight drop is there but its a little fake as mentioned above, and the photos are somewhat depressing lol.

    Consistency my friend! Keep pushing

I am also pro keto. I did bloodwork twice on keto and it's my fav diet because my hdl to ldl was so good, my family doctor was amazed

Citrus Bergamot my friend... Decent to heavy cycle, bloodwork comes back and cholesterol levels better than normal. That way you can keep some carbs intact lol

I'm thinking of starting my first ever AAS cycle. I'm 38, been lifting since I was 14 and now I want to see what a few cycles can do for my physique.

    6'2" - 215 lbs, about 14% bf

I plan to run the following:

    Weeks 1-2: Test E 250 mg + Proviron 25 mg/day

    Weeks 3-6: Test E 500 mg + proviron 25 mg/day

    Weeks 7-12: Test E 500 mg + EQ 300 mg + proviron 25 mg

    Weeks 13-16: Test E 250 mg + EQ 300 mg + proviron 25 mg

I have adex and nolva to use when/if needed.

Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

this is pretty well thought out, the only things I would suggest:

    - don't be so "for sure" on when you increase the dosage of compounds. Something I've been discussing with alot of my clients lately is strangling everything out of every variable before increasing them. Whether that be food intake, training volume, gear dosage, etc... Think of it as a tool to progression that you could potentially waste because you used it prematurely. So I'd only increase the test for example, if you hit a plateau in your training and nutrition - then use the additional testosterone as another means to push past.

    - I'm assuming the proviron is in there to increase free test? If so, I like it.

    - I think once you bump the test up, its not necessary to taper down. I'd just come off, let the test taper itself out of your system. Especially if running EQ at the end... and further to that:

    - I'd consider running EQ at the beginning as its the longest ester and in theory you'd want to run it for basically 12 weeks, cut it then its still going to be active while the test is active in your system. I Agree with the dose.

    - Great thinking on the AI.

You're certainly not wrong to have concern about cancer, however with any recommendation it requires individual research and weighing of pros/cons. I wouldn't ridicule anyone for recommending it. Personally after reviewing the study you're referring to by GSK, I was not concerned about cardarine. The reason being is the rats used are predisposed to developing cancer genetically with life spans of something like 36 months. Cancer was noticed in dosages as low as 40+mg for 2 year period. The life span for rat to human is 13.8 rat days is 1 year. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3733029/)

Lets say each month is 29 days give or take, 36x29=1044 Average rat lives 1044 days divided by 13.8 so about 75 years old

the study is 2 years so 24 months so they took cardarine at 40mg per day for 50 years, this is approx and im coming up with as we speak.

GH has been found to promote growth of cancer cells in some studies, you dont hear people say boo about that. Anyway not here to argue what you're saying because you arent wrong, just saying there is multiple ways to extrapolate data from studies.

Sorry Synster to hijack thread with this haha, just wanted to clarify my suggestion. Interested hearing from everyone though, lots of viewpoints on the matter which is great!

Sorry perhaps I didn't make my own view points clear - I think the cancer accusations are drastically overstated and just like you showed (which is great by the way) its quite an extrapolation to compare. And its not something I am particularly concerned with. Every compound has a potential negative and we need to understand the risks... just like insulin, dnp, HGH, etc...

I was more poking at the fact that those claims of cancer have not been shown on human trials. Or if they were I was unaware and perhaps he could have linked them lol

I love how you emphasized WAY higher doses

it was found to be definitely carcinogenic at the human equivalent to ~45-50mg per day. So it’s definitely carcinogenic at a certain dose and perhaps even carcinogenic at a lower dose too in humans.  Cancer takes ~10 years to get to a sufficient size to diagnosed so you won’t hear about it until like 10 years after people started advocating for it.

so I definitely would not use it or recommend it until long term human trials have been released and with that I am definitely out now

    peace

I'm not in this thread to back either side of this BP argument, but am I curious can you cite any studies that mention it to be carcinogenic in humans?

As far as I was concerned it was discontinued from further development in 2007 when it was found to cause cancer in mice. In the limited human studies performed there were actually very little adverse reactions reported. I'm just looking for confirmation

Dnp is magic. I am pro dnp

DNP scares the shit out of me but I feel like I’m missing a great weapon on Fatloss . If I could learn how to use it properly I’d try it. Now it’s clen or an ECA stack.

I also like DNP but I have my own ways of running it that keep side effects to a minimum and functionality/performance at a maintainable level.

I'm not saying theres not a risk with DNP, theres a risk with any drug we use, but understand the risk, see if its worth it and educate yourself inside and out.

Ok, sure, starving yourself is a good recipe for ditching the diet and fast regain for lots of people.  However, fasting as part of a well-designed diet plan is NOT the same as starving yourself.  There is way too much info now on the health benefits of fasting to dismiss it.

It may be true that fasting is not perfectly optimal for muscle gain and/or muscle retention, but IMHO that misses the bigger picture.  The best diet for anyone is the one that works AND the one you can stick to.  'Optimal' doesn't matter if you quit it.

FWIW, I have done IF now for over 6 mths.  I eat only between noon to 7 or 8pm - every day.  I have lost 45lbs of flab and have gained considerable strength and upper body size on 100mg T/wk.  I was at or close to my natural limit of muscle and strength beforehand - but yes, fatter than I should be.

I may go on some minor building cycles where I eat more and more often, but health-wise and leanness maintenance, Intermittent Fasting and/or time-restricted eating is something I will do probably for the rest of my life - it's that good and easy to stick to.  This is coming from a long-time natural BB'ing competitor who has successfully gotten very lean and >200lbs competition weight with no pharma assistance.  I know what it's like to diet - hard - and Intermittent Fasting is hands-down the best for me.  Thinking of adding in 24hrs of zero calories once per week soon as well.

Just thought I'd give my thoughts on IF.

    - You're correct in the fact its not starvation as there are multitude of people using a variety of fasting periods... Now I don't necessarily agree with drastic ones, but a "shorter" fasting window won't necessarily be a detriment

    - My main beef with IF is that fact that I don't believe its optimal for Growth in certain regards, to maximize our growth/recovery potential we also want to maximize MPS (muscle protein synthesis) and there has been many studies that have shown an equal distribution of protein throughout the day has had a significant difference in producing lean body mass versus more sporadic/uneven/cramped dosings. Now I'm not saying you CANT grow on IF, I'm just saying its not as optimal as keeping PTOR even.

    - I 100% agree with the best diet is the one you can follow.

    - I also don't believe IF is anything special when it comes to fat loss, just like the keto diet isn't magical - because the #1 rule still applies, you need to be in a calorie deficit. So whether you want to eat 16 meals per day or 3 whatever floats your boat. A lot of misconceptions that IF is superior in fat loss is generated by unknowingly entering a calorie deficit.

  13. I'm kind of surprised to the amount of people using LARGE meals, or higher fat content sources in a pre workout meal.

To those who are using these, how far ahead of the workout are we talking? like 2-3 hours prior?

Wouldn't you be concerned with the digestion rate interfering with your training? I also am assuming none of you guys would be introducing Intra workout drinks as well?
